Incredible Ned

I have a strict rule about not posting twice in one day, but I'm going to make an exception. I will forever be amazed by Ned. He's so awesome. This last week or so I have not been doing well. I've been unmotivated in everything, homework, running, cleaning, cooking, etc. I've felt so stretched and busy, but I felt like everything I was doing was pointless. I felt like I NEVER got any time with Ned, and that was frustrating. I was just plain depressed, and nothing was getting me out of it. So, today I woke up to go to my 7:30 am class, and just thought, "I'm not going today. I'm going to stay home and relax." So, I cuddled up to a sleeping Ned and thought about life, the universe and everything. I couldn't figure out how to get out of this slump I was in. Ned woke up, happy to see me home, and that cheered me up a bit. Then when I got home from my class at 12:30, I decided to forget homework so Ned and I could spend the afternoon together. We didn't do anything exciting, mostly just walked around our neighborhood and talked, but as I drove to my evening class I realized I was smiling and I felt a ton better. I don't know how Ned does it, but somehow he can always effortlessly get me out of any slump I'm in. HE IS AMAZING!

Uncharted 2 Party

Our house hold let out our inner geek. We had a party completely dedicated to the video game, Uncharted 2. Ned loved the first one, and got my sister-in-law, Megan into it. We decided that we would have a party when the second one came out. Ned insisted that we play the game on a HDTV, so we drove to Megan's parent's house in Provo, so we could experience the game in it's full glory. (Thanks Bohon's for letting us stay while you were out of town). We even made a treasure chest cake in honor of the game. Megan's brother, Nathan, provided FREE pizza. AWESOME!! We had a fun time. You all should play the game because it rocks.

Six Years of Marital Bliss

Ned and I had our sixth anniversary on the 19th. It's been six great years and we're hoping for 60 more. My sister, Holley took some family pictures of us (this is a big deal because I've been begging her to do them for YEARS). I love how they turned out, and it was a great anniversary gift. I guess all I'm trying to say is that I'm so happy to be married to Ned. He's the greatest, sweetest, most amazing man on the planet. I feel so lucky to be with him. The end.

Eels - That Look You Give That Guy

The Eels is a band that Ned introduced to me before we got married. I loved them instantly and we have continued to listen and love all their songs. Their newest CD is called Hombre Lobo. IT IS EXCELLENT! This is Ned and I's favorite song on the album. We hope you like it too.

Fall

When I'm running it feels like my ability to smell is intensified. Sometimes it's a bad thing, like on trash day, but sometimes it's a great thing, like today. Today in Ogden it was slightly on the cooler side and partly cloudy with a little trickling of rain (the perfect running weather in my opinion). As I ran past a group of houses, I got a whiff of the most glorious smell. It took me a while to realize what it was, when all the sudden I realized that what I was smelling was Fall. It was a mixture of rotting fruit, burning weeds, rain, and a plethora of other smells that I couldn't quite distinguish. I took deep breathes until I got a side ache, and adjusted my running route so I could go by that group of houses again. Fall's almost here and I'm stinking excited!
